Helpless Lies

Merry Christmas everybody. I hope you've got everything you've wanted, and that you have a happy new year. Well, anyway, this song was inspired by a number of different things. The actual lyrics were inspired by SMALLVILLE, another obsession of mine, the connection between Lana and Clark in Season 5 if you've ever watched it. The Music is very mellow and slow, which was inspired by Lifehouse's 'Storm', from their new album 'Who We Are'.

Helpless Lies:

I see between your hidden lines, I understand your pain,

And yet all the times I’ve saved you, I’m the one that you blame,

I apologise the hundredth time, for something I didn’t do,

You don’t reply, then I realise, that’s the end of me and you.

You turn around, without a word, and leave me by myself,

My eyes rotate to your picture, hanging from the shelf,

Your smile, your eyes, all perfect pieces, equalities are pure,

But then I realise the truth, you can’t take it anymore,

Too many times, I’ve lied to you,

No reasonable answer for things that I do,

You face me with questions, I don’t answer straight,

Resulting in the reason your heart so often break

Things just aren’t that easy, indefinitely a flaw,

That’s the reason I don’t stop you, when you walk out my door,

I’m too caught up in your protection, but I don’t want to let you go

But it’s far to dangerous for someone like you to know,

I watch you from the window, tears embedded on your cheek,

And even though I’m a hero, your tears make me weak,

I cannot bare to stand there, and watch you loose your grip,

Your heart is broken, your hands are shaking, and so is your bottom lip,

Too many times, I’ve lied to you,

No reasonable answer for things that I do,

You face me with questions, I don’t answer straight,

Resulting in the reason your heart will break

I sit solemnly, left in the darkness of my heart,

Lingering over the fact, it was her I had torn apart,

The one person I love, the one I needed to save,

Yet this time I’d fallen, too hurt to be strong or brave,

Rest In Peace

I've finished for Christmas thank god, and what better way to celebrate than put two great, happy mooded Smallville episodes on! WRONG! The two I watched were depressing, but gave me an idea to write a song. Dedicated to Smallville episodes 'Redemption' and 'Vengeance', here is 'Rest in Peace'.

Rest in Peace:

Sometimes I mourn, sometimes I cry,

But I know, you’re always by my side,

That losing streak, you’re turn to go,

I wish you’d stay another day

To handle this, is beyond me,

Your picture always pops up in my mind,

Each piece of you falls into place,

This makes it even harder to embrace,

Your Tender touch, your warming kiss,

Each property increases doing this,

And every time, I think of you,

I’m left in tears, not knowing what to do,

Knelt by your grave, alone and dark,

The single words scribed on your parch,

The bright coloured flowers, express your mind,

I pray to God, that someday I’ll find…you.

It time to move, it’s been to long,

I’ve left my life, and that seems wrong,

You’ll always be there, on top of my head,

But you’ve got to move on from the dead,

Your Tender touch, your warming kiss,

Each property increases doing this,

And every time, I think of you,

I’m left in tears, not knowing what to do,

I’ll leave you now, to rest in peace,

I hope you realise, just how it seems,

My love’s still strong; you can count on that,

We’ll meet someday, I’ll promise you…that…

(Slower)

Your Tender touch, your warming kiss,

Each property increases doing this,

And every time, I think of you,

I’m left in tears, not knowing what to do,

I’m left in tears not knowing what to do…

No Snow

Hey again, today in School, a friend told me that making a Christmas song would probobly be a good idea. But, of course, Instead of it being all festive and cheery, I've decided to moan at the fact that in England, we get hardly any snow. Which, is true, because, we suck in the whole 'weather department'. Anyway, here it is. The melody is a little iregular, but I hope you enjoy anyhow.

No Snow:

Time after time, pavements are empty,

And each step I take, I realise just how dull,

You can become, (Oh,Oh,Oh)

With no snow,

The rain washes away the chances,

And even with a speck of the white,

It’ all left behind, (Oh,Oh,Oh)

With no snow,

And as the white crystals from up above,

Fall down upon my face,

I stand their looking up,

Taking these few seconds, to embrace

But then it times to go,

Because there is no snow,

No footprints in the floor,

Barely anything,

Anything at all,

And yet, I can feel it hitting my skin,

But because it’s so thin,

Sadness it will cause so,

With no snow,

Year after year, the chances are weaker

Because as each second passes, the world gets bleaker

No-one seems to realise, how important this can be,

That lack of single snow flakes,

Leaves nothing there for me,

And that’s because, (Oh,Oh,Oh)

There’s just no snow…

Empty Spaces

I was influenced by something I read in a book at School, ages ago. I came to my mind when walking home, and with that, I decided to write a poem. Well, it began as a Poem but it could become something more. Anyway, here is is, it isn't alot but:

Empty Spaces :

Empty spaces, implanted in the chamber of my mind,

Waiting for the right type of your kind,

To come along,

Long way,

Lonely pavements, the slight pitter patter of your feet,

My eyes tend to follow you down that street,

Each look back you take,

I smile,

Flashing streetlamps, enlighten that glow taped on your face,

Attracts me, then stands me in my place,

To stand there and stare,

At you,

Sense of silence, both eyes firmly fixed upon your own,

Hoping you won’t turn and go home,

And leave me to wish,

You’ll come back,

One step forward, a slight tender movement that I see,

Hopefully directed towards me,

I wish and I wait,

For you,

Approaching slowly, I reach out and take her by the hand,

Pull her closer, there we stand,

Both of our lips,

So close,

My heart flutters, I begin to lose my sense of right,

Pull you closer, hold you tight,

Our lips interlink,

Like one,

Huge explosions, the deepness my heart travels into,

My blood begins boiling, just for you,

You’ve blessed me with love,

Thankyou,

Lost Smile

These Lyrics were inspired by 'About Her', but I decided that they needed a much happier ending which goes the guys way. I immediatly thought that making a long song would have no effect, so a short vocal poem if you must, was created:

Lost Smile: (Short Version)

Unwanted shadow that lingers on your lips,

Lost in the realisation that lies on your fingertips,

The twists and the turns, your face hidden from my sight,

Weeping because of that mistake, that one night,

As my hands curl around your waist, and your tears stain my shirt,

I hold you in my arms, battling against the hurt,

As our skin meets, my blood boils in love and fear,

Stop crying please, it’s me, I’m here,

‘Cause even if our Love is different, doesn’t mean it isn’t there,

So stop trying to avoid me, I’m here, with you, I care,

Your sadness tears a ditch, nightmares in a pile

That frown, that cry, your tears, a lost smile,

What you have done, the blames not upon you,

But don’t bring it up, forgot what they want you to do,

Because sometimes, the decisions that you make,

Will Sometimes altar, the path you take,

Then within a whisper, you look up at me,

Your tears have stopped, its time to be,

Control yourself, please don’t miss,

You move in closer, and then we kiss,

‘Cause even if our Love is different, doesn’t mean it isn’t there,

So stop trying to avoid me, I’m here, with you, I care,

Your sadness tears a ditch, nightmares in a pile

That frown, that cry, your tears, a lost smile,

About Her

Well, before I show you my first piece of lyrics, I'd just like to thank you for reading. These lyrics were inspired by no-one in particular, just things I have read, and things I'd like to put into contexts. Sometimes life is harsh, but you need to get other it. Or hold on.

About Her:

Her lips, her eyes, a dream, lullabies,

No place, to embrace, her case anymore,

She’s lost, her cost, alone, legs crossed.

To wait, its late, that’s fate, leave her alone,

And when you feel her touch, as it lingers on your skin,

Her damp falling tears, as it fades away the sin,

That immense sadness, as it plunges through your heart,

Give her chance and let her enhance, don’t let her fall apart,

Her smile, her laugh, all gone, a mere crash,

Losing, her mind, pointless, and blind,

Sympathise, realise, step aside, let her through,

Let her go, she’s needs to know, exactly, what to do

And when she calls your name, and it echoes through your ears,

Don’t let it soothe away, and imagine all her fears,

Leave her within her head, where the darkness shades the light,

Remember it was you, the one that brightened her night,

It was you who removed those lies,

Took your hands from her velvet eyes,

Made her stop, and made her think,

Not a sound, or neither a blink,

In need, of help, you stayed, helped out,

That shoulder, to cry, never turned, a blind eye,

Never left, always there, let her sing, let her stare,

Always with you in her arms, never there to cause you harm

Now that she starts to realise everything she’s missed,

She soon forgets the hundred times, you and her kissed,

Now that she’s seen the light, her recovery is due,

But with her opened eyes, she no longer sees you.

The cure, that left her on her own two feet,

But she’s gone, alone, walking across the street,

The other side, a person left in the dark, with nothing left,

Its time to turn around,

Forget what you once found,

Pick yourself up from the ditch,

And leave this precious bitch.

Now that she starts to realise everything she’s missed,

She soon forgets the hundred times, you and her kissed,

Now that she’s seen the light, her recovery is due,

But with her opened eyes, she no longer sees you.
